Wain is one of 12 children of a Jamaican immigrant and Mississippi sharecropper. Born in Kansas City and raised in Worthington, Minnesota, he was born to be a musician and to help people through his talents. He worked his way to Minneapolis, where he and his brothers formed Ipso Facto and performed throughout the country playing a mix of reggae, rock and funk. He has jammed with musical heroes and mentored many other talents along the way. As the brothers of Ipso Facto went their separate ways, Wain charged on with his musical mentoring and continued to be the first to donate his time and talents to various causes. He has two beautiful daughters and a handsome son and is now settled into his home in Northeast Minneapolis with the love of his life, Catherine.
